Olive's Random Slide
This...is Emmy Noether.
Measurement: telling time on an analog clock
Olive first enters the white screen telling the audience the challenges that she and Otto have faced as well as the difference between times 1:30 pm and 6:05 pm and she introduces the story about what happened from 6:00 - 6:05.
After a long day, Olive and Otto are returning to headquarters and they greet O'Donnell. She asks how they are. They tell her that they are good. They are happy because they solved multiple cases and are ready for dinner after a long day. Otto also gets hit by a flying goldfish. Olive and Otto are headed to the cookie room and run there and Ms. O stops them and tells them not to run or walk fast. Oscar is experimenting with the jetpack and trying to make it hover. He presses the green button, but it crashes. As Olive and Otto are going to the cookie room, Orchid stops them, because of the dinosaur crossing. After the dinosaurs have crossed, she permits them to go. Olive bumps into Octavia and asks if she has seen her partner because he has to meet her for lunch. Olive says no and tells Octavia that it's not lunchtime, it's dinnertime. They skip to the cookie room and arrive there and Otto announces that he beat Olive at 6:01 at night. Olive tells him it's not 6:01, because each number from 1 - 12 represents five minutes, so given that the minute hand is on the one, it is actually 6:05. Suddenly, they hear a rumbling sound and go back to the main room. Olive asks Ms. O what happened. Ms. O tells them that someone let the dinosaurs out of the dinosaur room downstairs. Otto thinks it's cool. Ms. O tells him it's not cool. Odd Squad is ruined as well as the plant. Oscar brings the before now machine and talks about what it will do. Olive and Otto say that they can go back in time and find out who let the dinosaurs out and stop them. Otto says he can see the day he was born, but he was just saying if they're going back anyways. But the before now machine can't take anyone too far. Ms. O offers if he can send them back a whole hour. Oscar says it needs three bags of plutonium and a whole lot of bananas to do that. Oscar says that he can only send the agents back to 6:00, which gives them five minutes to figure out who let the dinosaurs out and stop them. They put their hands on the gadget and go back to 6:00, with the flashbacks in the process.
After a long day, Olive and Otto are returning to headquarters and they greet O'Donnell. She asks how they are. They tell her that they are good and they go back inside headquarters. Otto says that the dinosaurs are gone. Olive says that they're not here yet, because it's 6:00. Otto gets hit by a flying goldfish again. It's basically the same fish because everything is happening the exact same way it did the first time. Oscar is again trying to make the jetpack hover. He presses the green button and it crashes again, so the green button is wrong. Otto says that the dinosaurs are going to show up at exactly 6:05 again, unless they stop whoever let them out. They suspect Orchid because she was playing with the toy dinosaurs. The agents seek Oscar for help and ask if they saw her. Oscar says "yes" and shows them where she went to let the dinosaurs out. They head to that place and bump into Olaf and then Octavia. Octavia asks Olive if she has seen her partner. Olive again says no and again tells Octavia that it's not lunchtime, it's dinnertime. They find where Orchid is and they tell her not to let the dinosaurs out. She says that she has to because they have been stuck under her desk all day, so she brought them into her personal room. They reject the fact that Orchid let the dinosaurs out of the dinosaur room and they wonder who let the dinosaurs out and they hear a rumbling sound again. It's 6:05 and the dinosaurs are here. The agents have failed once again.
To be continued...
The agent have failed once again. They apologize to Ms. O for their failure. Ms. O tells them she is sorry that Odd Squad is ruined as well as the plant. Oscar comes back and brings up the time machine again. The agents accept their mission again and they can unfail by going back in time and stopping whoever let the dinosaurs out. Ms. O tells the agents not to let her down.
They again go back in time and O'Donnell greets them again. They say that they're good. Otto says he loves how O'Donnell is so friendly. Olive tells him no time for hellos and they have to focus on stopping the dinosaurs. Otto gets hit by a flying goldfish for the third time and decides no more mistakes starting now. They go to the main headquarters and Oscar is wondering how to make the jetpack hover. Olive points out that it's not the green button. Oscar presses the red button and it crashes into Ms. O office. Red button is not correct either. Olive and Otto find Oren and Olaf and suspect them for letting the dinosaurs out. Olive tells Oren and Olaf to stop. Oren says nobody can stop them because this is happening. Otto says it's not because they've got their..., but only finds ribbons and thinks that they're going to use ribbons to let dinosaurs out. Oren says he is not referring to dinosaurs. He is referring to the Odd Squad talent show and how he and Olaf are going to win it this year and they start waving the ribbons. Otto is amazed but Olive drags him away. Otto wonders what time it is and thinks they're lost in time because the minute hand is not on a number. Olive says they're not lost in time because there are tick marks which each represent one minute. Olive counts the tick marks and the time is 6:03, with only two minutes left. Olive bumps into Octavia again, who asks if Olive has seen her partner, because he is supposed to meet her for lunch. Olive says that she hasn't seen her partner, and if she wants lunch so bad, she can eat lunch. Octavia says that it's lunch for the dinosaurs and they eat at 1:30. Hour hand on the 1, minute hand on the 6. Olive tells her she is reading the clock wrong.
Olive goes back to the white screen and tells the audience about the clocks that read 1:30 and 6:05 that she showed. The current time is 6:05 PM. Octavia mixed up the hour hand and the minute hand, thinking it's 1:30 in the afternoon. This means she was 4 hours and 35 minutes late in feeding the dinosaurs. It turns out that the dinosaurs let themselves out because they were hungry. Olive tells Octavia it's not 1:30, it's 6:05 and the dinosaurs break in again. Olive and Otto declare that they accept the mission again and they use the Before-Now machine to go back in time again.
The agents go back to 6:00 and come from the tubes. They skip greeting O'Donnell and go straight to the main headquarters. Olive explains to Otto that the dinosaurs broke out because Octavia forgot to feed them. Another flying goldfish comes, but this time, Otto catches it and throws it away. Ms. O thanks the agents for walking. Oscar wonders how to make the Jetpack-inator hover. Olive points that it's not the green button, not the red button, but it has be the blue button. Oscar presses the blue button and the jetpack indeed does hover. Orchid stops the agents for dinosaur crossing and moves them. They meet Octavia and tell her that she is reading the clock wrong. She was supposed to feed the dinosaurs 4 1/2 hours ago. Octavia faints and Otto says, it's OK, and they'll do it for her. Otto finds out the fastest way to the dinosaur room which is at the Odd Squad warehouse. Otto checks the time on Octavia's watch and it's 6:02. There's only three minutes left, they'll never make it in time. Olive says they can walk, but they don't have to. There is a jetpack for them and they can attach the jetpack to the cart to get to the dinosaur room faster. The time is 6:04, with only one minute left. One minute is 60 seconds. They activate the jetpack, attached to themselves and the cart and they zoom to the dinosaur room. They reach the dinosaur room and start putting all the cans of food in the mailbox and the dinosaurs get the food and the time is 6:05 and the dinosaurs don't come out this time. They go to the dinosaur room and Otto gets the cookie he wanted earlier and Olive gets a cookie as well.
- This episode had to take place on a Tuesday because O'Donnell only works from 3:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday, as said in "Trials and Tubulations".
