Oona and the Oonabots is the A-plot of the 20th episode of season 2 of Odd Squad.
Synopsis[]
Oona uses her Oonabots to fix an odd problem.

Plot[]
Oona and Ocean have entered the Creature Room where they notice that Olympia and Otis turned into stone while trying to help Ocean catch a creature called the Stone Turner which, true to its name, turns things into stone. Ms. O had already found out and sure enough, she also turned into stone. Owen and his security team also attempted to catch it themselves but they also turned into stone. Oona and Ocean are the only ones that haven't been turned into stone. Oona then panics but Ocean reveals that the Stone Turner is blue and is trying to hunt for anything that is blue and a person will turn into stone if they touch it, which is what Owen and his security team did when they were trying to catch the creature. In order to turn people back into humans, Ocean would have to make a cure using the creature's spit which he can't get since every living thing turns into stone.
This is the point where Oona reveals her new invention back in the lab called the Oonabot, a robot image of her, and it was inspired by Oscar's Oscarbot idea. She showcases the special abilities of her Oonabot (dance parties, automatically laughing at jokes, etc...). She also reveals that Oonabot is not a living thing so it won't turn into stone. They find the creature and Ocean tells the Oonabot to catch the creature. However, Oona tells Ocean that robots require programming since they cannot move on their own. Oona programs the robot to walk and then turn and then walk a bit more and then capture the creature. She runs the Oonabot. However, the Oonabot passes the creature. Oona then realizes that she didn't specify when the Oonabot should stop walking and turn and she breaks into the bottomless pit door. The creature runs past them so they stand against the wall to avoid getting turned into stone. Oona then introduces...
Another Oonabot, which is used for getting healthy snacks. Knowing the creature likes blue stuff, they head to the warehouse where they see the creature eating more blue stuff. Oona then programs the Oonabot to walk 10 squares, turn left, then walk two squares, and then orders the Oonabot to pick up a blue object if it is seen in front of it. She runs the Oonabot again. Initially working as expected, Oona's plan backfires again when it picks up a bunch of heavy blue bars instead of the creature and Oona realizes that she wasn't specific enough again. The Oonabot then crashes down to the floor and breaks. However, Oona has one more Oonabot.
They go to the recycling room where they see an Oonabot in a recycling bin due to some flaws. They go to the paint store to see which specific blue they are looking for. The salesperson names a bunch of blue shades before mentioning aqua blue, which is the same color as the creature. They return to the headquarters where the entire floor is aqua blue and the dinosaur room is right under the floor. Ocean tells Oona to program the robot to walk 14 squares and then turn right. However, Oona reveals that she threw the Oonabot out due to accidentally programming the robot to sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" at 12:00 as well as the inability of the robot to turn right. Ocean then suggests her to make the robot turn left three times in order to turn right. Then she orders the robot to walk two squares and then pick up the aqua blue creature if in front of her. She runs the program and it works as expected. However, as soon as the Oonabot picks up the creature, the dinosaur comes out, but Oona reveals that she also programmed the Oonabot to touch the dinosaur with the blue creature if the dinosaur attacks, which the Oonabot does and the dinosaur turns to stone.
Later, everyone is returned back to normal, except Ms. O, and the headquarters has a new floor. Olympia asks what time it is since she was made of stone for so long and she doesn't know. At that point, the Oonabot sings "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" indicating that it's 12:00.
