Extreme Cake-over is the A-plot of the 11th episode of Season 2 of Odd Squad.
Synopsis[]
When a virus that turns people into cakes spreads through Headquarters, Olympia and Otis try to contain the outbreak.

Plot[]
The episode begins Olympia and Otis helping a man with his toast-related odd problem. He shows them that his toast has a barn, a jar of jelly beans, a number, and a car. The two quickly identify he has Future Toast, and that he'll go to a county fair, guess the number (2338) of jelly beans in a jar, and then win a car. Excited, the man thanks the pair, and they leave. However, the man's dog then eats the piece with the right number of jelly beans on it, much to his dismay.
Back at headquarters, Ms. O is speaking to her two agents about something very odd, and not regarding the special protective suits they're now wearing. Ms. O has tasked them carrying a vial to the volcano room, and then destroying. Contained inside is the cake virus, an extremely dangerous and highly contagious disease that turns anyone it affects into cakes.
Otis cautions Olympia to handle it with steady hands, but she fumbles causing the vial to break, and thus, the cake virus has been unleashed. Instantly, Ms. O is now a cake, and Olympia starts freaking out. She tries to reassure her boss, but the fact has no ears, makes her efforts trivial. Otis then quickly gets the idea of consulting Dr. O about the virus. They go to her and Dr. O tells them they need to tell the rest of the agents about it.
Now with the other agents gathered in the main headquarters, Olympia and Otis sheepishly tell them about their predicament. Everyone is naturally, fear-stricken and angry at the two for releasing the virus, but Dr. O explains what's going to happen after being questioned by Orchid. The virus will only affect people that have a specific attribute to them, as in years past, the cake virus only affected people who were left handed, had short hair, etc.
Olympia and Otis better explain this to the rest of the agents, when suddenly, Dr. O has turned into a cake. Orchid affirms the virus is only going after the girls, but Ocean turns down this, as Owen has now turned into a cake as well. After trying to get everyone to calm down, Olympia and Otis go to better examine the data upstairs. They also remind the agents not to eat any cakes since they're actually humans.
The two of them go over potential matching traits like hair color and left or right handedness, but there's always somebody off. But, luckily they both come to the conclusion that Ms. O, Dr. O, and Owen all have size-five shoes. But after realizing this, they go downstairs to tell Orchid, who has size five shoes, she will turn into a cake. She has miraculously been able to avoid the virus up until now, but when the time comes, a special gadget that'll be placed on her head, will then capture the virus once she starts turning.
They put the helmet on Orchid and confirm that the virus is going people after who are wearing size five shoes. However, Ocean proves them wrong once again, because Oona, who has size eight feet, is now a cake. And just after that, Ocean has been turned also. Olympia and Otis decide to go review the data again, for more clues. After some more inspection, Olympia is about ready to admit defeat on this case. But her partner boldly tells her to look him in the eyes and that they can do this. After hearing this, Olympia comes to the realization that all of the affected have brown eyes. But, Otis tells her she also has brown eyes, however Olympia valiantly chooses to be contaminated to save her friends.
Olympia runs into the main headquarters, running towards Orchid, slowly transforming into a cake along the way. Orchid throws the gadget to her in dramatic slow-motion, as Olympia leaps toward it. However, Olympia is transformed into a cake before she gets it. After a few tense moments, the virus is captured and Olympia returns back to normal. She regales what it was like being a cake but Otis quickly silences her about it. A little while later, everyone in headquarters is almost back to normal and the episode ends with Owen still half-cake and...liking how his cake-self tastes.

- This is the first episode to call attention to the fact that most of its stars and recurring characters have brown eyes.
- The title is a pun on the phrase "Extreme Makeover" which is used in other TV show titles such as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
