Larry and Phyllis are big fans of The Burly Bears sports team. They are the only others seen in the crowds of Burly Bears games other than Olive and/or Otto.
In "Bad Luck Bears", after the Bears win against the Rams, Larry confesses his love for Phyllis. However, Phyllis doesn't hear him over the cheering.
In "A Case of the Sing-Alongs", the two appear to have a daughter named Larry-Lita, who grew from a baby to a teenager, in between "A Case of the Sing-Alongs" and "O is Not For Over".
