Plot[]

Olive and Otto are on a case where whenever a woman named Becky comes into her house, an announcer begins talking about her, using the name Carol Ann. Olive uses a gadget to fix it so that it calls her Becky. However, after they leave, the announcer announces that she is going to make lasagna for dinner for her friends Lauren and Dave, but he also lies about her forgetting the ingredients needed to make the lasagna and not being a good shopper.

Back at headquarters, Olive is reading SCHMUMBERS ILLUSTRATED and finds Otto staring at Octavia and Olive tells him that it's not polite to stare. Otto asks her why Agent Octavia doesn't have a partner. Olive is shocked that he doesn't know what happened to Octavia's partner Agent Oz. Olive tells Otto a story about the mystery of Agent Oz.

A flashback begins... Octavia and her partner Oz were battling the villain Jelly Bean Joe. Joe had a jar of jelly beans, and four buttons with different numbers, and told them to guess how many jelly beans are in his jar correctly, or else he’ll create a puddingsplosion. They also had to do it before the music was over. Oz suggested using the Handcuffinator, but Octavia told him it was actually the Body-Put-Back-Inator. The four options were 94, 203, 320, and 450.

They decided to count the jelly beans one at a time, but they couldn’t count all of the jelly beans in time, and the box of pudding exploded all over the town. Oz was buried in the pudding, which Otto thinks was the last time Oz was ever seen again. However, some people eventually dug him out of the pudding. The agents tried again and again to stop him, but he covered the town in whipped cream and then feathers.

Ms. O was the angriest she has ever been in her life, and Oz suggested using his Handcuffinator. However, it was actually the Black-Hole-inator, and the two agents and Ms. O were also sucked in. And Otto thinks that Oz was sucked into the black hole. However, Olive proves him wrong. Oscar came to deactivate the black hole and left, Ms. O told them that they would never be able to defeat Jelly Bean Joe if they counted jelly beans one at a time. She sent them to find Estimation Eddie in the ballpark. She said that he won't get them the right answer, but he'll get them close to the right answer. She explained that a smart woman once said: "Sometimes close enough is good enough.", which was Ms. O, herself.

They went to the ballpark and played baseball with him for a while, but completely failed to catch anything. Oz felt like leaving the squad and threw the glove down. Otto guesses that Oz quit the squad. Olive tells him that he didn't quit. However, Oz took what he said back and said that he can't quit because Odd Squad is his life. He asked them how many balls they missed. They began counting, but Eddie told them to count faster. Since it was hard for them to count, he made it easier by highlighting a particular cluster and asking them to count it. Octavia counted ten balls in that cluster. He asked them if they see any clusters about the same size. Octavia found out that there were six clusters of about ten balls each, and counted by tens and got the answer of sixty missed balls. Eddie said that 64 was the exact number of balls they missed, but he accepted 60 because it was a good estimate. The agents received a call telling them Jelly Bean Joe was at the river, and had to go there immediately. Eddie stopped them and said that the agents would need some hot dogs down the road. Octavia said they were cold. Eddie was able to make them hot, which he did. Oz asked if Eddie can shoot mustard out. Eddie said "yes", but he explained that it would take three hours to get that going and they didn't have that kind of time and he asked them to go. The agents went there to stop him. Jelly Bean Joe warned them that if they guessed wrong, or they didn't guess before the music was over, feathers will explode. Oz told him that he already did feathers. Jelly Bean Joe said he could do repeats. This time, they separated the beans into clusters and determined that there were about 1500 jelly beans. They realized that 1500 was not there, but 1520 was there. They picked it because it was close to 1500 jelly beans.

When they stopped Jelly Bean Joe, he congratulated them. Oz pulled out his Handcuffinator- which was actually his Invisibleinator, which he accidentally used to shoot himself and he turned invisible for the rest of his life. Octavia and Jelly Bean Joe were shocked after seeing that. End flashback. Otto comments that it was terrible that Oz had to leave the Squad because of that one mistake. Olive tells him that he didn’t leave. He stayed in Headquarters, only he was invisible. Olive estimates that there are about 100 invisible agents in Odd Squad.
